Kathy volunteered to speak for our Mother's Day Luncheon at Maranatha Baptist Church in Tallahassee. We planned a huge party and wanted an effective speaker. She came through with flying colors speaking on compassion and the woman's roll today. Her introduction included many whimsical and hilarious stories about children that loosened up the entire audience- including the men who were serving. One "telling" moment came when Kathy was providentially hindered from attending her own speaking appearance that was to be videoed for future promotionals. She traveled long distances by plane and rented a car to "fly" to the occasion as well. It was not to be. But, upon discussing this seeming "disaster" (my perception of the situation) with her at a later date, she was radiant as she explained how the Lord had other plans for her along the way...ministering exactly where God had placed her on "temporary" assignment.
